Jesus is your Healing Balm.
Everything else fails. Everyone else leaves. But His love abides, and it’s available to you today.
Last week was Poetry Week on my blog. It’s something I’ve never done before, and it’s really an invitation for you to soak in His love and His presence.
You see, the Lord sings over us (Zephaniah 3:17), and those melodies release love, joy, peace, and healing.
The Bible says He came “to heal the brokenhearted” (Isaiah 61:1c) and “To give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness” (Isaiah 61:3a).
I want to encourage you today to go back and reread those poems (I’ll put the links below).
As you do, ask the Lord to speak to you. What’s on His heart for you? What do you need to release to Him, share with Him, or just offer to Him?
Personally, I’m finding that Jesus just wants to spend time with me and comfort me.
We spend so much time trying to please Him with all the things we do, when really, it’s about our heart posture before our sacrifice. Sacrifice means nothing if your heart’s not in it.
How does this tie in to Jesus being your Healing Balm?
Because it’s only in His presence that you find all the healing, love, deliverance, and help that you’re looking for. It’s not anywhere else, and it’s not in anyone else.
So today, pause. Take some time to sit with the Lord and tell Him how you feel. Speak the Word over your heart and mind.
And let His love, His peace, and His joy fill you to full and overflowing, in Jesus’s Name. Amen.
Poetry Week Recap:
Melodies Part 1: Melody Overflow: The Lord’s melody overflowing in your heart and mine.
Melodies Part 2: Harmony Pour Out: The Lord’s love satisfying you as His harmony pours out of you.
Melodies Part 3: Spirit Pour Out: The Lord pouring out His Spirit upon you as His love, joy, and songs flow through you.
Pour My Oil: Your surrender in His presence.
Pour Your Oil Part 1: A prayer for the healing oil of His Holy Spirit.
Pour Your Oil Part 2: A prayer for restoration and resurrection.
I pray that His melodies bless you, fill you, and draw you nearer to His heart, His Word, and His will.
Thanks for the poetry week.
It was a chance to soak in God’s love while feasting on poetry . Don’t think I’d read any poetry in the last couple years.
I felt very blessed ๐ ๐ฅ.
May your anointing never cease in Jesus’s name I pray. ๐๐๐
You’re welcome, Mum! Thank you too for reading. ๐๐๐ค๐ค
I’m so glad it blessed you. Reading poetry can be a powerful way to encounter God when the words are from Him and point you back to Him. May we all grow to know Him more. ๐๐พ
Amen; thank you so much. ๐ค
