I’m Not Here To Change You

. . . but to ignite a spark in your spirit.

I’m not here to change you

but to plant a seed of hope in your soul.

I’m not here to change you

but to open your heart to richer and juicier possibilities.

I’m not here to change you

but to show you that love and radiance are alive and well.

I’m not here to change you

but to remind you that you are made of stardust.

I’m not here to change you

but to tell you of the shine at your fingertips.

I’m not here to change you

but to dare you to live beyond your perceived limitations.

I’m not here to change you

but to show you that the exotic is right within your grasp.

I’m not here to change you

but to urge you to listen to the whispers of your soul.

I’m not here to change you

but to stir you to take a chance on your faith and taste your dreams.

I’m not here to change you. Only you can do that.

I’m just here to urge you on an adventure of growth, soul expansion, and spreading your wings.

Are you in?

Tell me in the comments below how you’ll shake things up.

That is beautiful, Otiti! CJ and I have five days off – woohoo! Tomorrow we are going to take a five mile walk then head out for breakfast and a day of big planning and working on our next steps with the blog and book. I’m hoping by the end of the day tomorrow we will have shaken many things up! Love your inspiring words.

Thank you, Tammy! Woot woot for 5 days off! Perfect way to celebrate Thanksgiving and just chill out, right? I’m sure the space and time out will yield the fruits you seek. I hope you’ll have shaken stuff up too! Have a blast with CJ and thanks so much for your kind words. 🙂

Girl, you are one BRAVE chica! I wish I had the guts to pull off the same thing ’cause I LOVE NYC. I know you’ll land on your feet and have visions of us strolling Central Park together in the near future. Wouldn’t that rock? 😉

Thanks for reading and commenting, my love. I truly appreciate it. 😀

Love that you’re not here to change me but in fact creating change through your very words, and through $100 Change!

I also really heart that you have linked to people you love and read and their great posts too. That’s a generous act and a wise one. Looking forward to your new book

Thank you, Natalie! I figure I’d be lynched if I got up on my soapbox and screamed, “You WILL change, by God”, LOL. It’s better to just show the benefits and leave the decision up to each person.

Oh yeah, I recently incorporated the link love and it adds a whole other level of depth! 😀 Makes me wonder why I didn’t start earlier.

Yay, I look forward to sharing the book with you as well! Thank you so for your thoughtful and encouraging words. 🙂

Words like these can indeed help bring change!! A very poetic way of giving us permission to free ourselves to become someone we love. I think this kind of inveigling is fun and necessary. Someone has to say it, why not someone as talented and energetic as you? Happy Thanksgiving O, and hope you have as much fun as Tammy and I will have these next few days!

CJ!! Oh stop, you’re making me blush, LOL. Thank you for the compliments. Yup, I saw the need for something and filled it! That’s how we stretch and grow, right? My greatest hope is it gives everyone who reads this post the chance to choose for themselves.

Happy Thanksgiving and come back with fabulous memories! 😀

This is beautiful. I was recently awakened, and was looking for ways to put into words to my boyfriend (who showed up when I needed him most, coincidence, eh?(; ) what I thought my purpose in his life might be, then I found this. Oh, how the universe works. <3

Now THAT is beautiful, Alex. It’s a gift to realise why you’re with someone and what you can (and cannot) do while with that person. I’m honoured this spoke to you. Now go act on it, girl! And do let me know how it goes. 🙂
