Stand Your Ground

Dear Woman,

You will be tested. You will walk through the fire. You will be brought to your knees.

You’ll soar high. You’ll sink low. You’ll be euphoric and devastated and everything in between. That’s life for you.

However.

You are a fighter. You are a Queen. You are strong. You will overcome and shine despite the restraints slapped on you.

Glass ceilings are exactly that, glass. No matter how reinforced and impenetrable they seem, they can, and will, be shattered.

Hang tight to your faith and keep your dreams alive. Your progress and success do not depend on the next President of the United States, your government officials, or any other authority figure in your life. Trust in the Lord, not in man, and He’ll never let you fall.

Finally, my beautiful Queen, stand your ground. Stand. Your. Ground. Never stop speaking up for what you believe in. Never stop advocating for equality and respect for women. Never stop speaking out against injustice. Never let the darkness of the world swallow your light.

Stand strong, stand tall, and face down the world with your head held high.

Stand.
