Sometimes I am overwhelmed
By the twists and turns of my road
I feel alone
Insignificant
Stumbling in the dark.
But I am reminded
I am never alone
I don’t have to be afraid
I am significant
And I am not lost in the dark.
Overwhelm is only temporary
And can be overcome
In a matter of moments
For I am led
By the One
Who watches over me
And He brings wisdom
And clarity.
So I sit at His feet
And trust
That He will lead me home
I trust
He will keep me strong
I trust
He will light my path
And make smooth
The jagged rocks
Cutting my feet.
The blood of my soles
Soaks the ground
When I trust in myself
But when I trust Him
He orders my steps
And heals my wounds.
My mistakes
Become lessons
My wounds
Become scars
My scars
Become victories
And under His leadership
My soul
Becomes whole.
