When was the last time your synapses crackled and your brain went whoosh! at the sheer awesomeness of a person/product/prose piece?
Last night? This morning? 10 seconds ago?
Go ahead and pull up a few memories. Take your time, I’ll wait.
Now, what if you set your mind on fire without fail every single day?
Let’s Get Real About This
Some days will flatline and you’ll feel welded to the couch/bed/hammock without a happy, energised bone in your body. Other days you’ll just want to coast without tackling anything too hard or tasking.
My point is you can still perk up even the crankiest days and you don’t have to break the bank to do it.
This isn’t about pumping yourself full of false cheer and hollow smiles.
It’s about creating a state of abundant flow that remains available to you even when you’re blue or 2 seconds away from crawling out of your skin.
To do that, you need the whoosh factor.
What IS The Whoosh Factor?
- incandescent prose that burns up the clutter in your mind and frees space for new neural pathways.
- a fresh perspective on a thorny problem.
- a God-sent solution to something that had you stumped.
- mind-boggling poetic GENIUS.
- intrepid life lovers who take on the world one movement at a time.
- a rocket strapped to your heart to get you going, already.
- heartwarming video that makes your soul purr.
Amp Your Whoosh Factor
Let’s go with the truth that we all have something unique to offer, yes? And the fact that we can dress it up in ways that no one else can. AND that we can rock it hard when we do.
Now, how can we take that from the abstract and make it tangible?
First, craft your Freedom Manifesto. What makes you a rock star? What do you do that wows people every single time? Ask your nearest and dearest to spell it out for you if you can’t see your brilliance for what it is.
Second, allow yourself want what you want. Nobody is going to give you permission to walk around in a blissed-out state with a huge smile on your face.
More importantly, why does anyone have to permit you to enjoy yourself? You’re the one who’s gonna hurt if you stay small and unfulfilled, innit? Open up and feel your desires, people.
Third, lose yourself in the wonder of creation. Whether it’s as simple as mixing a new smoothie or as complex as moving to a different state/country, let yourself sink into experiencing something new with all your senses.
Immerse your soul in the joy of exploring your edges and broadening your perspective.
Did you know you can create the lifestyle you dream of if you let yourself believe it’s possible and you work towards it?
Sure you did. So what are you waiting for?
Spark The Whoosh In Your Brain
I’m a huge fan of jamming with individuals who make me smarter, savvier, and more awesome than I was before.
Who do you talk to? What do you watch, read, and play? Whose sphere of influence do you inhabit?
Interestingly, I’m also drawn to mavericks, rebels, and fiery souls who live life in bold Technicolour.
I always, ALWAYS come away with my neurons firing each time I dip into something they have to offer.
Take Alex’s wee-book for instance. 100 Ways To Play With Yourself crackles with neon energy and laser-sharp wit. I gobbled it up in one sitting and FELT my neurons firing with renewed vigour.
When’s the last time you felt that way about something you read? How about something YOU created?
I’m not preaching chasing constant thrills to fill your day or perk up your mood.
I’m preaching plugging into energy that feeds your energy.
I’m preaching blowing the roof off your inhibitions and letting your raw soul run wild and free.
I’m preaching exposing yourself to things that dare you to bring your A-game now.
Speaking of which, you NEED to read Steve Errey’s The Code of Extraordinary Change PDF guide if you haven’t already.
With sections and specific action steps around “Fear, Decision, Self-Worth, Challenge and Action”, there’s absolutely no excuse for soul-deadening monotony. Saddle up, lovelies.
Bonus: tease out your Super Conditions for Greatness and restructure your life around them. Strip away everything that doesn’t serve you. All that noise and clutter just drowns out the voice of what’s possible and what’s loveable. Less really is more; believe it, people.
Skip, Don’t Trudge
Your mission, if you choose to accept it: take a few minutes each day to set your soul on fire. Get jazzed up about something, ideally a topic or movement that speaks to you on a visceral level. Combat every slide into the doldrums with an exotic twist that sets your soul ablaze on a whole other level.
Will you fail at first? Yes.
Will you keep failing? Every now and then, yes.
Will your life be so much richer than you previously experienced? You betcha. 😉
So, I’d love to know: how’re YOU gonna amp up your whoosh factor? Let’s spark some conversation in the comments below.
And if you enjoyed this post, do share it with your peeps. Merci, mes amis. 🙂
